Poetry by LaQuisha R. Banks

Colonization

Landscape culture

Re-structure minds

Travel into the crevices

Of natural vulnerabilities

Self-Destruction

Idleness:

The backdrop of curiosity,

The poison of consciousness,

The mind’s secret playground,

Filled with childish

Emptiness:

Lusting transmissions,

Pulsing wickedness

The Weight of Existence

Alone

We travel

Body to body

Transferring our hurt

Until no one can carry us
